The First Semester examinations for 2023/2024 commenced on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, across campuses at Lagos State University (LASU). The authority of the institution took it upon itself to closely monitor the process.
According to Sergio Campus Reports, the University Management, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC) Academic, Professor Olufunsho Omobitan, monitored the exercise from one faculty to the other.
Joining the DVC were the Acting Dean of student affairs, Dr Abiodun Fatai-Abatan, and the Special Assistant to the Vice Chancellor, Dr Salami.
The conduct of the examination in the Faculty of Education where the monitoring team took off was hitch-free, as well as in the School of Transport and Logistics where exams were also held seamlessly.
Exams were written in a calm and conducive atmosphere in the faculties of Social Sciences and Management Sciences, while in the Faculty of Arts, a similar atmosphere as obtained in other faculties visited earlier pervaded the air.
The faculties of Science and Law also experienced the same thing as the team visited them to ascertain the level of compliance with the conduct of the examinations.
The monitoring team rounded off their duty at the University Centre Store where the DVC gave further instructions concerning the distribution of some examination materials.
Concluding, the DVC registered his satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the exams, expressing optimism that the remaining days of the exams shall be seamless.
