Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has appealed to Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to beg his father to find solutions to the nation’s biting economy.
Aigbe posted this on her Instagram page while responding to Seyi’s plea to Nigeria to endure the current hardship under his father’s leadership as a necessary sacrifice for a bright future.
The actress stated that people were distressed, depressed, and going out of their minds because they couldn’t cope with the harsh economy.
She lamented that Nigerians are agonizing under the throes of the unbearable and terrible economy that characterised the regime of President Tinubu.
The famous thespian mentioned that prices of foodstuffs were skyrocketing every day above 200 percent and that the present situation in the country was choking.
In her plea, she said, “The government should please…we are begging, …do something about this economic hardship.”
Nigeria, at present, groans under the vicious grip of a parlous economy, and citizens are seen across the country staging protests to vent their spleen on the authority, as the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), and Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) are warming up to embark on nationwide strike soon.
