The Italian Ministry of Research has given a joint 5-year grant of Euro 6.5 million to both Lagos Centre for Digital Humanities, University of Lagos, Nigeria and University of Verona, Italy.
The grant is for a project entitled, “Inclusive Humanities, Development Perspectives in Research and Teaching.
The project tagged, ” Project of Excellence 2023 – 2027, will run throughout the years fore-mentioned.
It is meant for the promotion of inclusion in research, teaching, infrastructure and dissemination of Scientific Content in order to overcome gender, economic, social and cultural inequalities both within and outside the University.
Speaking in appreciation of the grant, the Vice Chancellor of University of Lagos, Professor Folasade Ogunsola, FAS, on behalf of the university community congratulates the Centre for Digital Humanities for attaining the feat and being progressively visible in the international community.
