The National Universities Commission (NUC) has accredited 26 academic programmes at the University of Abuja (UofA), according to an email announcement by the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na’ Allah.
Professor Na’ Allah attributed the accreditation to a team effort, highlighting the university’s commitment to excellence.
Of the 26 programmes, 22 received full accreditation, while four were granted interim accreditation.
Notably, Banking and Finance, English, and Computer Science, which previously had interim accreditation, have now received full accreditation. All accredited programmes are valid for five years.
The list of accredited programmes includes Banking and Finance, English, Linguistics, Christian Religious Knowledge, Islamic Studies, and Computer Science.
Others are Physics, Statistics, Geography, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, among others…
