Vice Chancellor University of Delta, Professor Stella Chiemeke
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has fully accredited 69 out of 72 programmes at the University of Delta (UNIDEL), with the remaining three receiving interim accreditation.
According to the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Stella Chiemeke, this achievement represents a 96 percent success rate.
She added also that it reflects the unwavering commitment and dedication of the academic staff and the entire UNIDEL community.
In addition, the NUC approved the establishment of full-time undergraduate programmes in Anatomy, Physiology, and Medical Biochemistry.
It also approved the establishment of full-time undergraduate courses in Radiography, and Radiation Science.
The approval status of these programmes shall take effect from the 2024/2025 academic session.
The accredited courses span various faculties, including Arts, Architecture, Communication, and Media Studies.
Other affected faculties are Computing, Education, Engineering, Environmental Science, Law, Science, and Social Science.
