
OAU Students Visit ECOWAS Liaison Office in Lagos
Recently, 300-level International Relations students from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, made a significant educational visit to the ECOWAS Liaison Office in Lagos.

This trip, integral to their curriculum, is a vital component of earning their BSc. in International Relations.
The visit was driven by their 2024 field trip theme, “Military Intervention in Politics and the Future of Democracy in West Africa.” During their time at the Liaison Office, the students received valuable insights into the essential functions of the ECOWAS Commission. The Commission’s roles in fostering economic, social, and political integration, stability, and comprehensive development in the West African sub-region were highlighted, emphasizing the importance of their work in the students’ academic and future professional lives.
