The Nigerian award-winning singer, Simisola Kosoko, has revealed that she met her husband, Adekunle Gold, as a fan who came to witness her show.
Simi disclosed this on a show Tea with Tay, by media personality, Taymesan, saying her husband, Gold, wooed her as a fan.

She expressed that she had vowed never to marry an artist, not knowing that her husband-to-be was one when they met.
“When I first met my husband, I didn’t know he was singing because me I had already said I cannot marry a singer. I didn’t know he was singing, I think he was a fan,” Simi said.
She added that Gold was a nice guy, even though his being a musician might have made the relationship worse.
They dated for five years before both walked down the aisle at a private ceremony witnessed by family at Ilashe beach.
The couple married in Jan 2019 after a period of dating, having their first child, Adejare, in 2020.
Simi has had a thriving music career, winning the Headies Award for Album of the Year 2018, and the City People Music Award for Best Collabo of the Year 2017 among others.
