The popular American rapper, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. aka Snoop Dogg has said that he will be giving up smoking after much consideration and conversation with his family.
He disclosed this decision on his X handle “After much consideration & conversation with my family, I’ve decided to give up smoking. Please respect my privacy at this time.”
The decision has however generated divergent views from his followers and fans as some hailed his decision while others felt otherwise.
Juancho Jack expressed that health is above anything else, and Dogg is setting a great example for everyone.
Barry commended Dogg, expressing, “As somebody who has watched literal millions of people die from marijuana overdoses, this is a very brave act by you, Mr Dogg. The marijuana establishment will criticise you but you must not relent.”
Another fan who referred to himself as Three Year Letterman also applauded Dogg’s decision, saying, “Thank you for this, Snoop. I’m a youth football coaching legend, and I teach my players that sensible injections, which come from the earth are far healthier than weed, which is grown in the lab…”
But, in a manner that the decision did not please him, Diablo replied Dogg, saying, ” We will not be giving up smoke,” adding, “The smoke of Hellfire and brimstone. We don’t know what you’re referencing and supporting.”
Supporting Diablo, Smex wrote, “Don’t worry Snoop, we your disciples will carry on your legacies… we’ll smoke on your behalf …stay strong for us.”
Dogg reportedly smoked for about six decades, having his first joint when he was “about eight or nine years old.”
