After clinching victory at Diamond League title in Eugene, Oregon, US at Prefontaine Classic Hayword Field, Tobi Amusan has said that the track was God’s.
Amusan said, “I came out here and said it’s my race to lose, and I will give my all. I said it’s 200 or nothing. So I came out here and told God to give me the strength. I said this racing track in Eugene is God’s track…”
She expressed, ” Right now, I just want to rest. I’m just grateful to God; that is all I can say this season.”
Amusan witnessed a setback in her career after coming distant 6th at the World Championship in Budapest.
Away from this, the Athletics Integrity Unit (AUI) has filed an appeal on Sept. Friday 15, 2023 with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the Disciplinary Tribunal’s decision dated August 17, 2023, that Amusan didn’t commit an anti-doping rule violation for Whereabouts Failures.
