The Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham, while replying to a threat by a lady named Erica on her Twitter handle has said her grassroots supporters are loyal to her to the core.
She added that they respect people’s choice and, “they know I have the right to choose what I want.”
Abraham’s statement was a response to the threat by one Erica that her movie would not be seen by Nigerians because she pitched tent with the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the Presidential Election of 2023 where President Bola Ahmed Tinubu emerged as the winner.

Erica tweeted, “Let Toyin Abraham mistakenly release the movie again, she will watch it alone on Tinubu’s parlour.”
However, Abraham responded, “You think I’m a social media actress, or I got my fame from social media? …I’m grassroots to the core and you see those they are loyal to the core cause they respect people’s choice and they know I have the right to choose what I want.”
While the majority of youths supported Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi, during the 2023 Presidential Election, Abraham sold her loyalty to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the candidate of APC.
As a result of Abraham’s political leaning, the youths felt aggrieved against her and other celebrities for not supporting their candidate.
