Fifty youths who are graduates of the Enterprise For Youths in Agricultural (EYiA) project in Niger State are to benefit from the employment scheme of the State Government.
Governor Umaru Bago of Niger State disclosed this when he played host to the graduates at the Government House in Minna.
According to the Chief Press Secretary to Niger State Governor, Mr Bologi Ibrahim, the fifty graduates of the EYiA project for Niger State are among the several other participants from across the country that participated in a three months training in Ogun State which focused on Soilless Farming and Hydroponics.
Governor Bago stated that his government would work in partnership with the youths and offer them employment with Niger Foods for six months.
He added that during the six months, they would be paid a stipend of N100,000 each in addition to N20 million given to them as a token for doing the State proud.
Speaking, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Social Investment Programme, Hauwa Bako Muhammad expressed that the three months of rigorous training the youths underwent in Soilless Farming in Ogun State had prepared them to add value to the Agricultural development of the State.
