The Afrobeats singer, Divine Ikubor aka Rema has refuted the rumour that he has impregnated the rising Nigerian diva, Ayra Starr.

While dismissing the allegation as a mere rumour, the singer said Ayra Starr is more of a little sister to him.
He added that Ayra Starr was a record label mate and that they appreciated each other’s work.
“People have been trying so hard to spoil our mutual relationship to something else but it’s fine because it gets us popular and our music too stays in the spotlight,” said Grammy Awards nominee.
Rema came into the limelight after coming to Lagos, having been spotted by D’Prince, an artist and younger brother to Don Jazzy, the owner of Mavin Records.
He became popular after the release of his album ‘Dumebi’ in 2019, gaining more popularity in 2022 after the release of his single ‘Calm Down.’
Rema, like Ayra Starr, is a signee to Mavin Records, while the latter also rose to stardom after being spotted by Don Jazzy from her petty trading.
