To enhance teaching and learning experiences, Bellstech recently organized a three-day training session focusing on the utilization of Kortext Educational Solutions.
The event, which took place from January 22nd to January 24th, 2024, was held at the BUPF International Conference Centre situated on the university campus.
The primary objective of the training was to familiarize academic staff with the functionalities and benefits of the globally acclaimed interactive teaching and learning platform, Kortext.
Meanwhile, students, who are the primary beneficiaries of this initiative, underwent training sessions on January 22nd and 23rd, while faculty members participated on the final day.
Conducted by Mr. Adeolu Adenuga, the Country Representative of Kortext, the training provided insights into the platform’s advantages and unique features, positioning it as the future of knowledge dissemination and student learning.
Mr. Adenuga highlighted that Kortext is already adopted by over 1000 universities across more than 100 countries, emphasizing its global recognition.
Key features of Kortext include virtual and real-time interaction between lecturers and students, enabling faculty members to monitor students’ learning progress seamlessly.
Additionally, the platform offers pre-loaded textbooks and resource materials, allowing students to access a wide array of educational materials throughout their academic journey at Bellstech.
The training sessions garnered significant attendance from students and faculty members, with the Vice-Chancellor gracing the event and officially declaring it open.
Notable attendees included members of the university management such as the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Akunnaya Opoko, the Registrar, Mr. Lamidi Tafa, and the Bursar, Mr. Sina Adepoju. Deans of all colleges, the Postgraduate school, along with directors and heads of various academic units were also present, underscoring the importance of the initiative.
The upcoming phase of the training, facilitated by Kortext International staff from the United Kingdom, is slated to take place soon, further reinforcing the university’s commitment to leveraging innovative educational technologies for enhanced learning outcomes.
