Cairo University and China Ministry of Education have signed agreements to establish dual degrees.
Professor Mohamed Othman Elkhosht, the President of Cairo University, and Dr. Chen Jie, Vice Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, participated in a signing ceremony to bolster collaboration in Chinese language education and establish dual academic programmes.
The initiative aligns with the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, emphasizing Cairo University’s commitment to international engagement and partnerships.
The protocol, signed at Cairo University’s International Branch, aims to facilitate joint workshops, research projects, programs, and master’s/PhD degrees.
Professor Mahmoud Al-Saeed and Dr. Ma Jianfei represented the respective institutions at the signing.
Professor Elkhosht emphasized Cairo University’s international focus and its eagerness to embrace diverse educational systems.
Dr. Chen Jie acknowledged Cairo University’s cultural contributions and praised Elkhosht’s leadership in advancing the institution.
The Chinese Vice Minister extended an invitation for Elkhosht to attend a conference in China on AI and digital education challenges, recognizing Cairo University’s expertise in these areas.
The event was attended by other Cairo University officials and a delegation from China led by the Vice Minister of Education.
