The Nigerian Afrobeats superstar, David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido has shown tremendous excitement over his nomination for Grammy Awards. In a recent interview he granted, he showered praises on the organizer of Grammy, saying, “Shout out to the Academy; This is my first nomination ever, so it’s crazy to get three at one time.”
Davido added, “If you ask me if I deserve Grammys in the past, if you ask me I need 20 Grammys already. But like I said, God’s timing is the best.”

He had earlier shown deep emotion about the award when he took to his X page saying, “3 nominations at the Grammys! Delay is not denial!”
The superstar singer got three nominations comprising Best Global Album for his latest album, ‘Timeless,’ Best African Performance, ‘Unavailable,’ and Best Global Music Performance, ‘Feel.’
Grammy Awards will come up in Los Angeles on February 4, 2024, in preparation of which the organizer had earlier released African musicians who have grabbed at least a golden gramophone.
Also in the list are Burna Boy, Angelique Kidjo, Sade Adu, Mariam Makeba and others.
