Dino Melaye, Buhari’s Aide Divided over Davido, Wizkid

The People Democratic Party (PDP) stalwart, Senator Dino Melaye, and former President Mohammadu Buhari’s aide, Bashir Ahmad, are divided over Davido Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido, and Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid.

While Davido got the support of Melaye, Ahmed lined up behind Wizkid in the ongoing war of words involving the two Afrobeats stars.

Melaye expressed on his social media page that Davido occupied number one position in Nigerian music industry as compared to others.

But Ahmad, in his own case, drummed his support for Wizkid, the Grammy Awards winner.

Melaye stated, ” Davido is undoubtedly the 001 in the Nigerian music industry and undebatably, the most patronized globally.

Melaye is known to be a social media entertainer of late that expresses his view concerning socio-political issues, rather than an enfant terrible politician he was when Nigeria was in the grip of his party, PDP.

He lost his governorship bid in Kogi State to the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Usman Ododo, in the November 11, 2023 governorship election.

Ododo succeeded former Governor Yahaya Bello, currently being hounded by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

For now, Davido and Wizkid have been locked in a war of superiority which currently stirs the whole of Afrobeats like a raging storm.

Both stars have had a hot argument on X, dividing their fans and admirers after they opted for peace in December last year.

Wizkid was said to have posted a video of Davido, crying and begging an alleged female associate.

However, Davido replied, describing Wizkid musical career as dead, referring to him as “solo short, bitch,” and a 4-foot guy.
