Don Jazzy Lists Conditions for signing Artists

The Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records, Michael Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy has listed criteria for signing artists into his record label.

He listed the first condition as being social media savvy, saying young persons are still much into the whole culture of social media because “the older one are busy making money for the family. They don’t care about helping you to go and stream or watch your social media to know when you post but young guys are still much into the whole culture.”

Adding, Don Jazzy said talent, due diligence, mannerism, character and age are also very important.

Setting up Mavin Records in 2012, he first partnered with D’banj to set up the defunct Mo’ Hits Record Label.

Having eyes for raw talent, he has so far signed Afrobeat sensations such as Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Rema, Ladipoe, Ayra Starr and many others.
