The Chief Executive Officer of Mavin Records, Michael Collings Ajereh, aka Don Jazzy, has disclosed that what lured him to sign Oyinkansola Sarah Adiribigbe, aka Ayra Starr, a Beninese-born Nigerian singer, was her powerful voice when she was singing one of her original songs in her video via Instagram.

Don Jazzy said further that immediately he knew he would work with her, saying, “She looked so young…I sent her a direct message inviting her to our studio with a guardian,” Don Jazzy disclosed.
Meanwhile, when Ayra Starr first got in touch with Don Jazzy she was afraid, however in her word, she described Don Jazzy as a cool individual.
“I was just shy. I would be in the studio with my brother and if he leaves the room, we look at each other and scream, ‘Oh my God!’
“But when I met him he was the coolest person ever. He just wanted to speak to me, to understand where my mind was.” He saw that I wanted it so much,” Ayra recollected.
Don Jazzy was the co-owner of defunct Mo’ Hits Record Label with D’banj.
