FG, JAMB Clamp down on Fake Certificates Holders

Both the Federal Government and the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) are making efforts to ensure that holders of fake certificates are not allowed any breathing space in the Nigerian education space. On the part of the Federal Government, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the combined Convocation Ceremony of the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, expressed that his government would make an effort to safeguard the integrity of the education sector.

The President, who was represented by Mr. James Ocheido, Deputy Director, of the University Education Department, Federal Ministry of Education, added that concerted efforts were being put in place through the collaboration of all MDAs.

FG stated that these MDAs would use state-of-the-art technologies to ensure nobody was able to forge any degree or certificate of the nation’s tertiary institution, stating that whoever was caught in the act would not go unpunished.

In the same vein, JAMB had collaborated with National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to ensure that no holder of a fake degree certificate is mobilised for the one-year compulsory service.

The Director General NYSC, Brigadier General Yusha’u Ahmed, vowed to protect the sanctity of the Nigerian education system while upholding the mission and vision of the Corpse.
