The Afrobeats singer, Oxlade, has revealed how his illustrious music career dwindled as a result of sex tape.
Oxlade disclosed this while speaking on the Afrobeats Intelligence podcast, adding that he was blackmailed as a result of the sex tape, having to cough out a mouth-watering sum of money over two years for the blackmailers who eventually leaked the tape.

He expressed that the ugly incident affected his mental health, and made his grandma breakdown, asking if Oxlade was going to be the one to end her life.
He narrated also how the incident affected his family and how his entire endorsement deals were all canceled.
The songwriter who felt sad hearing his grandma cry as a result of the sex tape, explained, “I lost all the deals I was affiliated with up to like N400m.”
The singer however expressed that he felt relieved when the tape was eventually released because he had been blackmailed for two years.
“It was a peace of mind for me because I was getting blackmailed for two years. The content had existed way before they brought it out or they had a reason to break it out…”
The said sex tape showed an amorous relationship between Oxlade and a woman which was widely publicised online on February 9, 2022.
