Reactions over Eniola Badmus’ Appointment

Reaction has begun to trail the appointment of the Nollywood thespian, Eniola Badmus, who recently became the Special Assistant to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Right Honourable Tajudeen Abass.

Badmus will serve as Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing, but commentators on X have raised eyebrows that she is not worth the appointment.

One Osinatchi wrote in pidgin, “Wetin be all these offices wey Tinubu dey create. Last week I saw 2 SA to him on dispatch and delivery abi dispatch rider and I’m seeing SA on social events and public hearing…wetin dey occur…”

In anger, De Sauce stated, “I’ll stop tweeting about Nigeria and focus more on myself. This country is not for people like me… Eniola Badmus got a federal government appointment for supporting Tinubu…”

However, one Taofeek tweeted that the appointment was well deserved, drawing an inference that Badmus might have earned the appointment as a result of her faithfulness to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the electioneering.

Taofeek expressed, “Well deserved …! You don’t reap where you didn’t sow. From one campaign to the another, From online trolling to bashing. Her dedication to her party won her the position.”

Badmus is a film actress, script writer, entertainer and social media influencer who came to stardom in 2008 after featuring in the movie ‘Jenifa.’
