Liverpool’s emerging talent, Bobby Clark, expressed his joy after making a winning full Premier League debut against Nottingham Forest.
The young midfielder, given his first start, reflected on his performance, expressing satisfaction but also acknowledging room for improvement.
In an interview with LFC TV, Clark shared, “I thought I was decent but could have done a lot more given what I know I can do, but it was alright. I do feel as though I’m taking it in my stride, but it all comes from the gaffer and all the players. They fill you with confidence and let you do your thing. If you don’t have a manager like that, it’s going to be much harder.”
The match was not short of drama, with Liverpool securing a 99th-minute winner. Clark expressed his confidence in the team, stating, “I always had the feeling we would do something with the top players we have got on the pitch, and Alexis with the calmness at the end and Darwin putting it in, it was top.”
Clark highlighted the learning experience he gains daily from his teammates, particularly from players like Alexis in his position. He praised Alexis’s decisive role in the late winner, calling it “special.”
“It was a great way for it to end. I was grateful to get my first start in the Premier League. When I came off, things were out of my control but I knew something was coming, and that late winner was top,” Clark added.
