Following the release of his new record entitled ‘Wahala,’ negative comments have trailed the lot of Naira Marley, the Managing Director of Malian Records.
Reacting to Marley’s post on his Instagram page, some of his followers thought he released the song to gain credibility.
One follower expressed that by mentioning the name of the late Ilerioluwa Aloba aka Mohbad, Marley was trying to be relevant in the Nigerian music industry.
While @Metroblog stated that Marley and his colleague, Sam Larry, needed to be reprimanded, an anonymous follower stated that God would pay Marley back the pain he caused Mohbad by beating and bullying him till his death saying “Watch, you will reap what you sow, maybe not today, but you will.”
Okwudili wrote that Marley just wanted to use Mohbad to make money again, “this guy knows what he is doing,” he added.
His former record label signee @Lil Smart, warned him thus, “Don’t let them kill you, then ask God for forgiveness.”
Marley released ‘Wahala’ after spending some time in detention over the alleged bullying to death of Mohbad, his ex-signee.
Mohbad died in the year 2023 after suffering physical and emotional trauma, allegedly from bullying by Marley’s gang.
His death generated widespread uproar across Nigeria as youths wanted the police to investigate what led to the sudden death of the gifted singer.
Conceding to calls by the people for proper investigation, the Police had exhumed the body for autopsy.
Marley was outside the country while the outcry for his arrest was on. The Police had to guarantee his safety before he returned to Nigeria to face the allegations levelled against him.
