The Nollywood actress, Laide Bakare, has been appointed Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Art, Culture, and Tourism to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.
The appointment was made known as Bakare expressed her gratitude to the Governor on her Instagram page.
The actress, thanked the Governor for the trust and opportunity to serve, pledging to deliver her best.
She wrote, “…its actually a new dawn for me starting my political career from here. God bless Nigeria.”
Bakare, a producer and director, is more prominent in the Yoruba genre of Nollywood, where she has acted in numerous movies and films, climaxing in being nominated in her 2007 film for her role in ‘Iranse Aje’ as Most Outstanding Actress (Indigenous Category) at the 4th African Movie Academy Awards (AMAA).
