The Nollywood actress, and Senior Special Assistant to Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State on Entertainment, Laide Bakare, has said that she was inspired by broadcasters as well as a deep love for Journalism.
She disclosed this recently in an interview she granted The Punch, adding that initially she wanted to study Mass Communication, but fate steered her towards Theatre Arts, which, according to her, beneficially happened by chance.
Bakare continued, “Studying Theatre Arts not only broadened my perspective on storytelling and communication, it also ignited in me a fervor for the entertainment industry.”
“The vibrant and diverse experiences l had at the University of Ibadan became a stepping stone for my professional journey,” the movie director said.
She expressed, “Now as I navigate the dynamic field of the entertainment industry, I appreciate how that unconventional path has enriched my skills offering a unique blend of creativity and communication that defines my roles in this exciting industry.”
In another development the thespian expressed how finding true love has become nerve-racking for her, saying as an actress, producer, and director, her primary challenge has to do with “navigating and finding true love.”
Bakare buttressed her point by saying that people are attracted to her status rather than the essence of who her real person is, expressing “distinguishing genuine connection from those based on fame is often a delicate task.”
