The Senate of Benue State University, Makurdi has granted the request for waiver of the undergraduate requirement of credit in Mathematics as a mandatory condition for admission into non-Science and Management Postgraduate programmes.
According to the Secretary of the Postgraduate School, Mike Shima-Na Nongo, the decision was reached at the 312th meeting of the Senate of the University.
The Secretary, having been directed by the Chairman of the Postgraduate School Board and Dean Postgraduate School, informed that the implementation of the waiver was effective for graduates before the 2022/2023 academic session and must be strictly adhered to.
As well, following the semester break approved by the University Management, the University has ordered all its students to vacate their hostels.
This is contained in a release from the Office of the Dean of Students, Professor Emmanuel Eriba Otor, directed to all the students in hostels.
According to the University Management, the order takes effect from February 22, 2024, by 10:00 am prompt.
In light of this, the institution wishes that students enjoy their break away from the campus as they come back refreshed and ready to continue with their studies.
