The Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sanni, has prevailed on the Management of Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria (NUBAPOLY) to allow students to sit for the forthcoming 2nd/4th Semester examinations, not minding their school fees payment status.
The Management of the institution had earlier issued a circular directing that all students who had not paid their school fees despite a 50 percent reduction by the government of Senator Sanni would be prevented from sitting for the forthcoming examinations.
But showing that the administration of the Governor is conscious of the financial turbulence being faced by parents, he waded in by directing that the students be allowed to sit for the exam.
Senator Sanni also directed that the Management should extend the deadline for the full payment of the school.
This is in line with the vision of the State Government to embark on quality education in a state that has been battling with insurgence and banditry.
The period of extension would allow parents and guardians adequate time to make up for the payment of any outstanding school fees.
Following the directive by the Governor, the deadline for the payment of outstanding school fees has been extended by six weeks after examinations.
