UI Prof Awarded Prestigious £900,000 British Academy Global Professorship
It gladdens the heart that a Professor from the University of Ibadan Prof. Olutayo Adesina of the department of history has been selected to receive the highly coveted British Academy Global Professorships for 2023–24.
Professor Adesina’s research will focus on various critical issues, including developing food system models to address climate challenges and examining the history of West African communities through museum collections.
The British Academy Global Professorships are competitive grants designed to attract renowned scholars worldwide to the United Kingdom for advanced research projects across various disciplines. Each selected professor receives a substantial £900,000 grant for a four-year period.

NNPC Academy Holds Lecture on Career, Leadership
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Academy recently hosted lecture on career and leadership in the oil, gas and energy sector at the University of Abuja Business School where Mrs. Folashade Adekeye, Director of NNPC Academy was the facilitator.
The career and leadership lecture was meant to prepare participants on navigating career paths and leadership roles within the oil, gas and energy sector.
