The University of Lagos, Akoka has planned an all-encompassing orientation programme for its newly admitted students commencing on Dec. 11, 2023.
According to the Management of the institution, the programme is entitled The Orientation Programme and Fair which is planned for both fresh Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry students.

In the programme of events made available by the organizer, the orientation programme takes off with Campus Tour & Campaign on sexual harassment, drug abuse, rape, and cultism among others on Dec. 11, as the take-off point will be the frontage of J.F Ade Ajayi Auditorium.
The organizer also informed us that an interactive session with new students will come up at Jelili Adebisi Omotola Hall on the same day.
Other programmes, as announced, will comprise a Guided Tour of the University’s Main Library scheduled for Tuesday 12 Dec, while on Dec. 14, a Novelty Match will come up at the Entertainment Sports Centre of the University.
The Matriculation ceremony, which is for the new students only, as the institution will not allow parents to sit in the hall, is scheduled for Dec. 15.
Special Jumat Service for Muslim students will come up on Friday, Dec. 15, while a Special Thanksgiving Service will be held for Christian students on Sunday, Dec. 17.
The University authority, however, advised all students to take note of the date and time and ensure they are present at all the events.
