The University of Gloucestershire in the UK has organized a special two-day event in Lagos aimed at Nigerian students interested in pursuing their studies in the UK. This educational outreach held on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, 2024.
Dubbed “Meet Us in Nigeria,” the program took place at the Sapphire Suite, Eko Hotel on Victoria Island from 2 PM to 7 PM on the first day, and at Meeting Room 3, Radisson Hotel in Ikeja from 11 AM to 6 PM the second day.
Located in the southwest of England, the University of Gloucestershire boasts approximately 12,000 students, including about 700 international attendees. It offers a diverse array of programs ranging from computing and health to education and architecture.
Wajid Ali, Regional Manager for West Africa and Pakistan, and Professor Ndibarafinia Tobin, a Nigerian who is a Senior Lecturer in Construction Project Management and Quantity Surveying, emphasized the event’s purpose.
They intend to provide prospective students with comprehensive information about the university’s offerings to aid in making well-informed decisions about studying in the UK.
