The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has announced that its matriculation ceremony for the 2024 academic session will come up on Friday, May 3, 2024. This was contained in an internal memo signed by Deputy Academic Registrar, Petu Bola Keji, on behalf of the Registrar.
According to the memo, the ceremony that is slated for 11 am will be held across all the study centres.
The institution expressed that the ceremony will be held virtually, as a weblink for all the study centres and matriculating students shall be forwarded in due course.
Meanwhile, the school authority has instructed all the directors of study centres to organize the orientation programmes, the distribution of academic gowns, as well as matriculation oath forms for students.
It will be recalled that NOUN recently held its 13th convocation ceremony where the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, was installed as the Chancellor of the 42-year-old institution by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
During the convocation ceremony, the institution graduated a total number of 22, 175 students who bagged various degrees and merit awards.
