Usher Raymond IV, the American R&B legend, has tied the nuptial knot with Jennifer Goicoechea, a music executive at Epic Record, on the same day he performed at Super Bowl. Super Bowl event was held on Sunday night, February 11, 2024 at Las Vegas, where Usher displayed a supersonic performance with his awe-inspiring trademark dancing step during his halftime show at the event.
According to People Magazine, Usher and Goicoechea married at Vegas Wedding’s Terrace Gazebo, a small outdoor wedding chapel.
Goicoechea, 40, is Usher’s long time friend, and both were speculated to be dating since 2018.
Both were reported to have had two children together, a three-year-old daughter, Sovereign Bo, and Sire Castrello, two years.
The wedding was witnessed by Usher’s mother, Jonetta Patton, as a representative of Usher disclosed that the couple took the next step in their relationship.
The representative said, “They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love…”
Usher has two children from his earlier marriage with Tameka Foster, a union that produced two sons, Usher Raymond V, 16, and Naviyd Ely, 15.
Accord to Los Angeles Times, both Usher and Goicoechea obtained their marriage licence from the Clack County Clerk’s Office.
Ahead of Super Bowl performance, Usher had described Goicoechea as a great partner and best friend during an interview.
He stated, “It is a great honour and a pleasure to be able to share life with someone who wants to share it with you and loves you, who your are.”
“We’ve obviously made a commitment to life for life together because of our children. It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married,” said Usher.
