The Afrobeat singer and award winning star, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid, has expressed his appreciation to everyone on the occasion of his mother’s burial.
Wizkid expressed this on his X handle saying, “Thank you all for your love. You’re the best! I love you all.”
Wizkid mother, Juliana Balogun, was buried amid tears after a funeral service was conducted in her honour at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Dideolu Estate, off Ligali Ayorinde Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event was attended by high profile celebrities including the Nollywood actress, Eniola Badmus, and the award winning Afrobeat diva, Tiwa Savage among others.
Speaking at the occasion, Wizkid consoled the entire family saying, “I know everyone in my family shares this pain with me…it is impossible for the pain to go away, so I’m not going to say the pain should go away, but to comfort us to be able to get on with the rest of life. God will comfort everyone.”
Dolapo Balogun died on August 18, 2023, and a night of tribute was held in her honour at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, and casino, Victoria Island Lagos.
