Granting an interview with Evening Standard UK, the Afrobeat singer, Wizkid said he preferred not to speak about Nigerian politicians.
Wizkid expressed that the average Nigerian is primarily concerned with their basic needs such as food; and has no interest in anything else.
According to him, it is irrelevant to Nigerians to speak about politicians. “People in the streets care more about themselves and what they are going to eat…,”

Wizkid is an established singer renowned both locally and internationally, winning several awards which include the Grammy.
However, the singer was snubbed by the organizers of the Headies Awards as he was not nominated for any category of the awards, even though he had won it severally in past years.
