Augustine University recently celebrated a significant milestone at its 5th Convocation Ceremony, honouring the academic achievements of 56 graduates and 35 students from the associated St. Gregory School of Pastoral Music.
The event showcased remarkable accomplishments, notably with nine graduates attaining first-class honours, an exceptional feat made even more noteworthy by the fact that all nine trailblazers were female students.
The institution, committed to the noble tradition of Catholic Higher Education, is dedicated to fostering intellectual, cultural, and moral excellence while preparing students for leadership and enterprise.
Established on March 5, 2015, and inaugurated on October 23, 2015, the university commenced academic activities with the enrollment of 100-level students into approved programs on November 30, 2015, followed by its maiden matriculation on April 1, 2016.
Noteworthy is the AUI Library, home to an extensive collection of books encompassing 5,723 titles in over 15,000 volumes of processed materials, with an additional 10,000 volumes currently undergoing processing.
The library also boasts a robust E-Library, providing access to over 30 databases both locally and internationally. Its impressive novel collection, comprising 10,000 novels, contributes to the awe-inspiring environment. Furthermore, the library takes pride in offering access to lectures, webinars, and various other enriching activities.
