In his opening statements, Dr. Wole Adamolekun delved into the intricate economic, social, and environmental expectations of stakeholders in the realm of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainable development. He underscored the inadequacy of governmental efforts in meeting fundamental needs, emphasizing the pivotal role of businesses in complementing these endeavours through ongoing CSR initiatives.
“Social responsibility can yield greater impact through collaboration and partnerships. We extend our expertise as a conduit for all stakeholders devoted to constructing a more inclusive society. This endeavour will also enrich research and scholarship that responds to the evolving global landscape,” he expressed.
