The University of Lagos Staff School premises was thrown into fanfare on Thursday, February 22 as it held its 2024 Inter-house sports from Nursery to Primary 3 pupils.
According to Toyin Ojo-Alo, the event, which came up amid pomp and circumstances was held at UNILAG Staff School Playing Ground.
During the event, Obi (Purple) House emerged the winner, as, in Match Pass, Jaja (Green) House came first, with Oduduwa (Blue) House coming second, while Obi (Purple) House again clinched the third position.
In the race competition, Obi House came first, Oduduwa (Blue) House came second, and Jaja (Green) House came third.
Speaking during the event, the Acting Head Mistress of the school, Mrs. E. A. Akinade expressed that the competition aimed at fostering the spirit of sportsmanship and nurturing the talents of pupils.
She said, “The competition will allow the pupils to bond and make friends outside the classroom.”
She expressed her gratitude to the University Management Team led by Professor Folasade Ogunsola, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Lagos, the UNILAG Staff School Board led by Professor Adebayo Oladipupo, and the School’s Parent Teacher Association (PTA) led by Dr Folorunsho Adebayo.
The Inter-house sports competition was witnessed by the representatives of the 1972 Alumni set, the Principal of International School UNILAG, Lagos among others.
