A parent and a resident of Osogbo, Osun State, Mr Ayoola Adekanmi has berated the Osun State Government over food poisoning that led to 18 students of Saint James Primary School B, Owoope, Osogbo being rushed to hospital where they were treated.
Ayoola said, “It is the responsibility of the government to make sure that the food the state government is giving to students is hygienic and prepared with caution to make sure that students are safe.”
He added that what happened on Monday that landed 18 pupils in the hospital should not have occurred in the first instance.
He advised the government to put adequate measures in place to ensure that such life-threatening occurrence does not happen again.
It will be recalled that the alleged food poisoning of some pupils of Saint James Primary School B, Owoope, Osogbo, on Monday landed 18 students in hospital for treatment.
Interestingly, both the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State have been bickering over the alleged food poisoning of school pupils that happened on December 13, 2023.
APC, in Osun State, has called on the state government to stop toying with the lives of pupils and students of public primary and secondary schools.
