The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has been commended for the provision of high quality facilities for the conduct of the 2024/2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) held at the Aare Adebayo Akomolafe CBT Centre, which commenced on April 19, 2024.
This was the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board’s (JAMB) assessment of the conduct of the UTME at the institution, describing it as hitch-free, and conducted under a very conducive and serene environment.
According to the Senior Assistant Media Officer to the Vice Chancellor, Wole Balogun, it was the first time that UTME would be conducted in the centre, as 1,038 candidates who took part in the exercise were pleased with the facilities.
Speaking on the conduct of the examination, the Director of the FUOYE’S Centre for Continuing Education, Dr Adeleke Omolade, expressed that the success recorded during the examination was possible because of the support of the University’s VC, Professor Abayomi Fashina, Aare Adebayo Akomolafe and the good people of Ire-Ekiti.
“The fact that FUOYE has a very great facility for the conduct of UTME was attested to by the monitoring team led by the Vice Chancellor of the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) Professor Smaranda Ayorinde,” said Omolade.
He added, “…With the facilities at the CBT Centre, schools, government agencies, and corporate organizations will find it useful as a training and capacity development facility for their staff.
