Arm Wrestling
Nigeria’s Mausi Zannu won the first-ever gold medal in the history of Arm Wrestling at the ongoing All-African Games in Accra, Ghana. Winning Gold in the 55kg left-hand senior women. The question to ask is when did Nigeria begin to participate in Arm Wrestling? Football we are superb. Athletics we are also a force to reckon with, likewise long jump, and volleyball. Also, in boxing we are great! But, Nigeria starting arm wrestling is a thing of a surprise because the country is a powerhouse in wrestling and not arm wrestling.
For instance, Nigerian wrestling contingents have won no fewer than 6 medals in gold and others at the ongoing All-African Game in Accra, Ghana as of today.
If the introduction of arm wrestling is a way to boost the country’s chance to win more medals in the sports scene, this should be applauded, and it’s a welcome development.
‘Why I’m not Married at 48’
The renowned Nollywood actor, Nonso Diobi, thinks that until he can find a lady who understands the nature of his job, he will not lead anyone to the altar.
He disclosed that the nature of his job does not make him available because he goes from one location to the other.
According to Diobi, for a lady to settle down with someone like him, such a lady has to exercise patience.
However, at 48, and as an African man it’s good to make hay while the sun shines.
It’s Time Osimhen Quit Napoli
Perhaps it is high time the Nigerian International player, Victor Osimhen, quit Napoli, an Italian Serie A football club.
The elimination of the club from the Champions League has been blamed on the current CAF Player of the Year.
The Napoli dressing room heaped all the blame on Osimhen as being responsible for the loss. On account of this, some team members isolated him during the second leg of the encounter in Catalonia.
