The Afrobeats singer, Temilade Openiyi aka Tems, has declared herself as the best female singer in Nigeria.
She said this during a media chart on Radio 10, saying that even if other females were singing with better voices, tones and range, “she thinks highly of herself.”
The Grammy Award winner boasted that no one was strong enough to dethrone her, adding that she was more concerned about ruling her kingdom.
She said that she only subscribed to the law of Grace, expressing on her Instagram page that, “It is not about whether you can sing better or not, nobody can be me.”
Tems won her first-ever Grammy Award for her contribution to Future’s hit single, ‘ Wait for U.’
She was the first non-mixed Nigerian female musician to win the prestigious award under the ‘Best Melodic Rap Performance category.
But the British Royal Kingdom had crowned the famous Afrobeats singer, Tiwa Savage, as the Queen of Afrobeats when she performed at Windsor Castle for a concert to mark King Charles III’s coronation.
