The Nollywood superstar, Jim Iyke, has blamed himself for the marriage breakup between him and his estranged wife. He said during a media chat with Chude Jideonwo that he performed abysmally low as a husband to his wife.
Jim Iyke admitted that he played his father figure role well while completely disregarding his wife.
He observed, “I have had a failed marriage, but nobody knows that. I have three kids. I caused my marriage to fail. I am not the type that will blame anybody for my mistakes. There is a saying, ‘To boss up, own up,’ he said.

Jim Iyke disclosed further, “…my wife became pregnant with my first son, and I wasn’t as loving as I should be…I became obsessive dad after my son arrived…I took all my love and care in our son and abandoned her instead. I took all my love and attention to my son and left her behind. I was excellent father but a woeful husband.”
