The Nigerian Afrobeat sensation, Divine Ikubor aka Rema, has said after his recent appearance at the prestigious Ballon d’Or Award ceremony that he had impacted Afrobeats on a global scale.
He expressed this while speaking to a foreign magazine where he added no one can deny his significance on the worldwide Afrobeat stage.

Rema’s significant impart was felt as he became the first Nigerian artist to perform at the football major event that gathered array of football stars at an event where world’s most successful footballers , both males and females, were recognized.
His awe-inspiring performance, which took place in Paris, France, held the audience spellbound.
Rema said, “No one can deny that I’ve impacted Afrobeats on a global scale…it is not about the trophies or that girl or none of that. One of the main goals is to touch generations to come.”
The star, who aspires to create a lasting legacy, has won many awards comprising MTV Video Music Awards for the Best Afrobeats, The Headies Award for African Artistes of the Year 2023, The Headies Award for the Best Male Artiste 2023 among other.
