The Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramolas has said that it was better for Nollywood veterans to beg for money online rather than die in silence.
The actress stated this in a chat with Oke- Hortons of Legit.ng recently, saying the rise of the social media has led to some actors and actresses begin for money on the streets of social media.
“…The truth is the social media has taken over the space, and for them to sustain themselves, it is really, really difficult. It is actually better for them to come out than die in silence.”
She added that she would not blame them because many of them were not social media filmmakers and were not proficient in using it.
In recent times the social media space witnessed actors and actresses going online to solicit for financial help of Nigerians to assist in meeting their pressing needs.
Nollywood veterans like Lalude, Iya Gbokan, Mr Ibu and many others had adopted the use of this method to reach out to some Nigerians who could bail them out of their challenges.
