President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, just like he won at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT), has emerged victorious again, as the Supreme Court affirmed his election.
In a judgement, led by Justice Inyang Okoro, the apex court dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Atiku’s application to present new evidence in its appeal against the election of President Tinubu.
The court also dismissed the issue of twenty-five percent requirement for the FCT as a non-issue.
It also declined to accept the deposition of the Chicago State University (CSU) on the certificate obtained by Tinubu from the institution which he presented to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The court ruled that all cases brought before it lacked merit.
This judgement brings to a close any litigation against victory of President Tinubu as the duly elected president in the February 2023 Presidential Election.
