The National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is an entrance examination meant for the placement of primary six pupils in different unity colleges. The exam affords eligible pupils to gain admission into Junior Secondary School 1 at the federal unity colleges across the six geo-political zones.
The six geo-political zones are North-west, North-east, North-central, South-west, South-east and South-south zones.
To be eligible to sit for NCEE, a candidate must be at least 10 years old by the time such a child is entering the college in which he had been offered admission.
The year 2024 NCEE Examination is scheduled to come up on April 24, 2024, meaning to be eligible for this year’s NCEE, the final year pupils must be at least 10 years old by September 2024.
Applying for NCEE, a candidate will pay the registration fees of N4,750.00, which has commenced from Monday, January 15 to Saturday, April 20, 2024, closing by 8:00 am that day.
The payment for the registration of NCEE is facilitated by NECO Portal, as changes to name, examination centre or passport will not be entertained after the online registration.
The NCEE comprises two papers which are Paper 1, separated into Part A, which includes Mathematics and Science and Technology, and Part B, which consists of English and National Values.
Paper 11, which is divided into Part A, comprising Quantitative Aptitude, and Part B, Verbal Aptitude.
Candidates are supposed to choose six federal unity colleges, one each from a geo-political zone.
