UNILORIN Celebrates Faculty for Top-tier Journal Publications
The University of Ilorin is setting a high standard in scholarly research, having acknowledged the achievements of 31 faculty members for their leadership in publishing innovative research in prestigious Q1 journals from October 2020 to October 2023.
In a special ceremony held in the Council Chambers on April 12, 2024, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, SAN, declared that each publication recognized from this period will be honored with a ₦50,000 cash prize as a token of appreciation for their exceptional contributions to academia.

Don Wants Sexual Harassment Charge Quashed
Professor Cyril Ndifon, the suspended Dean of the Faculty of Law at the University of Calabar (UNICAL), has filed a plea with the Federal High Court in Abuja to dismiss the sexual harassment charge brought against him.
Ndifon argued, through a supplementary affidavit submitted by his lawyer, Joe Agi, SAN, that Osuobeni Akponimisingha, the counsel from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) handling the case, is not qualified to practice law.
