The Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, has collaborated with the University of Northampton, United Kingdom on exchange programmes, research and grants access.
The collaboration was made known as the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Art, Science and Technology, University of Northampton, Professor Sian Davies-Vollum paid a visit to YABATECH on a research project.
According to the institution, it is aimed at facilitating development growth, infrastructural upgrade, empowerment of staff workforce and expansion of the college academic and skills development programme.
Professor Davies-Vollum was excited that the partnership would be of immense benefit to both institutions as they will have a lot to gain from each other.
The Rector of YABATECH, Dr. Ibraheem Abdul expressed that the college was ready to do all it takes to move YABATECH to the next level, and better the lot of both students and staff.
The Rector said, “We are always on the lookout to access grants locally and internationally for research development; we have the Centre for Research Support and Grant Management and Centre for Linkages, Partnership and International Relations, therefore we have what it takes for collaboration.”
