As the Nigeria Army University, BIU (NAUB) matriculated newly admitted 977 students of the university, it has issued stern warning against cultism and other bad behaviours.
In the words of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Kyari Mohammed, the university “…shall not hesitate to punish defaulters and law breakers. In this university there shall be no room for anti-social behaviours such as…examination malpractices, gender-based violence and all forms of sexual harassments.”
He warned, “We shall protect the weak and punish the offenders,” promising the students that the institution shall providing enabling environment for them to excel.
The professor informed the students that there are various channels of reporting infractions at departments and Students Affairs division.
Meanwhile, Professor Mohammed charged the matriculated students to justify the confidence reposed on them by their parents and guardians.
He disclosed that all the programmes in the University had been accredited by National University Commission (NUC), adding the institution shall be graduating its first batch of students during its convocation slated for October 2023.
