The Beninese-born Nigerian singer, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe aka Ayra Starr has flashed back to old days when she used to be a seller of vegetable and fruits with her grandmother.
On her Instagram page, Ayra Starr displayed the photo of the local market where she used to sell fruits and vegetables six years ago.
In deep appreciation she wrote, “I will forever be grateful for where I am in my life. God really blessed me. Six years ago this is used to be me selling vegetables and fruits with my grandma, singing to whoever wanted to hear me, now people are paying to watch me perform.”
Ayra Starr began a fashion career at the age of 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pick up a career in music.
After trying her hand in a couple of music performance, she posted her original song on her page in December 2019 which cut the attention of Don Jazzy, the Chief Executive Officer of Marvin Record Label who later signed her.
